So many of us have our own businesses to run and manage, or we are an integral part of a company as an employee and/or manager. With so many adults working a 9-5 job and then handling tasks when they get home, when do you take a break?
Taking regular breaks in our lives is vitally important to our overall health and wellbeing. Many of the breaks you can take are free; such as, taking a walk in the fresh air, working out in your home, calling a friend or relative you haven’t seen in a while, etc.
There are so many things and places to explore, and you do not need to go far. Whether you live in a community that has parks and/or a lake or beach; or you live in the city; there are so many places to explore while practicing social distancing.
Even though the current Covid-19 pandemic has created a different way of living, you can still enjoy your communities. You of course need to be mindful and careful; but taking a break outdoors in the fresh air is extremely important to your overall health physically, emotionally and spiritually in order for you to enjoy overall wellbeing and optimal health.
I believe that your overall health and wellbeing should include interactions with others, while practicing all the safety protocols during this unprecedented time in our lives.
We human beings are meant to interact with one another, whether in person or via the internet, or simply by phone. I encourage you to reach out to your loved ones, friends, colleagues and maybe someone of interest that you admire on the internet. With all the technology we literally have at our fingertips; now more than ever in history, we can connect with others and hopefully lift their spirit!
I suggest you begin every day with gratitude. Think of ten or more people and/or things you are grateful for first thing in the morning. This will set a positive tone and foundation for your day. What you do and think about the first and last hour of each day sets the tone for each 24-hour day. To create an even more powerful impact, say your affirmations and/or gratitude list in front of a mirror with your hand on your chest. You will be using all your senses. – You will be “speaking”, “hearing”, “seeing” and “feeling” what it is you truly desire and deserve! Then, in your aware, awakened state of mind, you will implement what you want and create the life you desire and deserve!
One of my mantras is “A Positive Life Begins with a Positive Mind!”
