Eczema and Stress: How Hypnotherapy Can Help!


Eczema – a condition that is uncomfortable, irritating, and for some embarrassing. Stress and anxiety are a big factor that exacerbates the condition. When working with a client, I also inquire as to their daily diet. Eating small, nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day and drinking plenty of water is essential for general health and wellbeing. When the body is not nouHypnotherapy, Hypnotherapist, Hypnosisrished and hydrated properly, the mind and body are under stress. Hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to relieve stress and anxiety and create calmness and balance in the mind and body. Here are some tips:

  1. When you wake up in the morning, take in some deep breaths and think of at least three things and/or people you are grateful for. It will set the tone for the day and make you smile! Smiling and laughter are wonderful stress relievers!
  2. Drink a tall glass of room temperature water in the morning.
  3. Walk over to a mirror and say: “I am happy and healthy and my skin is healthy, smooth and beautiful.” Affirmations are powerful!
  4. Within one hour of awakening, have a high-protein nutritious breakfast (even if that means you need to get up a half hour earlier – go to bed a little earlier). Nourish your body with high quality food in small amounts about every 3 hours throughout the day. You will feel as good as the fuel you put inside your body.
  5. Take small breaks during the day to get some fresh air and/or relax in a safe, quiet place, close your eyes, take in some deep breaths and imagine and visualize your skin healing and becoming clearer, smoother and healthier every day. The power of visualization is amazing!
  6. Get up and move your body periodically throughout the day. Exercise is a great stress reliever!
